Tinkered with the Talbot first thing - I tried to fit the beeper on the indicator - but only one of the boxes seemed to work ?
Then I attacked the model - I started by cutting the frame to move the window.
Late afternoon the real one got a run out - still a little hard to start but I think not enough fuel is being pumped up into the very high carb. I filled it up though at the garage and we're doing a heady 17mpg.
While I was filling up someone came over to admire the car. His dad had a SS100 he said. It does look stately. Home again and I check the fuel level which shows it sits in sight at the top of the bend in the filler tube. Hard to see though.
Then Aston out - it was a bit of a shock to find the Talbot in the garage next to it though. Anyway the Aston seemed at home with the dark fleet.
Saved the planet a little though. After dropping off the bottles I was showing off and revved it a bit too much ... umm that's the smell of clutch I though. Dho.
As to the fleet - the E-type is grounded with a faulty immobiliser, the Ferrari is on 7.5 cylinders, the MK2 Golf has a doggy ignition barrel and finally the Alpine remains in the restoration phase - so not really a fleet at the moment - more a collection of automotive sculptures.
