First the run up to Gleveing in the MK2 - started first time. Dreary start to the day but we were early and ready for the task in hand.
I think the grass needs cutting though. So anyway off we went to Norfolk - in a little Peugeot. About an hour and a half later we arrived and gosh - the hood for Chris' Rapier looked very good indeed.
So about an hour later I set off South - the car pottering along nicely. Handing over to Chris half way we drifted back fine - no wind, no booming or flapping, snug and warm.
Then home in a storm and via Nacton Auto Electrics - who found the Talbot [Merc] part first google - odd.
Back in the dry it was a bit of modeling with the cream spray paint.
Then Imp out in the late sunshine. Oddly as I opened the bonnet I spotted the one of the carbs had blown its top and sprayed the oil out.
I've never seen that before - so I assume it just vibrated off. Well it is more bumpy and the wheels wobble much more now - I am convinced.
Well since driving the Talbot anyway ...
NB further research showed the part the Nacton found was the one I had found too - 'not in stock'.
