Back we Come

Finished packing in the morning sun and off to the port early.

Nice old Rolls in the queue but poor picture.

Probably 1920's as it had wheel covers. There was a nice looking Alpine too which I spotted in the queue and on the car deck.

The Rolls made me think I should be braver with the old cars - the Alpine that I should be braver with the rest !

The second time on the boat the experience was a markedly different experience. We had a posh (Commodore) cabin near the private lounge - so spent most of the time there having free food and drink or on the private sun deck. Even the self service restaurant seemed better and the food was fine.

We were fairly quick off the boat  even though we were the last car off and the journey back was fine. We even passed this magnificent Bentley on the M25.

Research says a 1934 Derby Bentley 3.5 Litre Airline Saloon by William Arnold. Great from the front but the rear side profile is not as good as TAS.

It had been brought back from Canada a couple of years ago. It could be B171BL, B159BL or even B175AE.

Home in quick time though and in the light too - again thinking I should be more adventurous.
