Various and a Run

Cold dull and grey day so first garden and then car jobs.

Checked the Imp tyre pressures first - still all set at 30 psi.

I did notice how dusty the wheels are though - but the spokes are quite far apart so cleaning (dusting) them should be an easy job.

Next was starting the Talbot (after a couple of hours on the fan heater). I looked for the 'choke' that Martin Bryant had referred to and yes it was there - but it seemed to make no difference to the starting. I also spotted the Ian Potts regulator device.

Starting I tried a slightly different process. I ran the oil pressure up before priming the carb and noticed that it was about 40 psi ticking over in the garage. There was that 'clunk' again pressing the starter the third time. One to watch.

This is slow tick over - I think it goes up to about 45 when I'm doing 60 but not the worry I thought.

Then 50 ml of oil in the Ferrari.

Always hard to see the level. Seemed OK though after three attempts to measure it.

Then as it looked like rain a SAAB to Harkstead for a quick job. No dramas to report.

Finally Talbot out and around the block in the cold dull light.

Back home I took the obligatory pics for the insurance. Quite poor ones as it happens. Odd.
