The 1930's Have It

So pottering tasks AM but I warmed the Talbot to start it and just started the Imp. No knocks but lack of fuel an issue for the Talbot but the battery charger fittings in their new position are good - possibly a game changer - well almost.

Anyway mid afternoon the sun was fading so I got my warm coat on and off the went in the Imp. It managed a new rattle though - this badge when we were ticking over.

Odd - good run though around the block and snug and warm too. It seemed happier and I drove though the wheel wobbles.

When I got back I tried to reduce the tick over. It went a bit lower but wanted to stall so I adjusted it back up. Seemed a few RPM less but still feels high.

Then when the sun came back in the evening it was time for the Talbot. Started well and we backed out into the sun.

Another good run around the same block - this time a bit warmer and a bit quicker - oh and more waves and smiles.

So the 30's seem to be happier than the 60's and 70's at the moment.

ION: during the day I also sorted the insurance for the Aston - I stayed with Vinttro despite a painful customer experience again - but we're insured as of Monday.
