Long journey = Talbot - Short journey = Imp

So Talbot out and on the road by about 10:15 headed for Ufford for the car meet up. We got there just after 11:00 and it was already heaving.

We found somewhere to park though it was by the ash pit - so that's going to get a wash soon.  Looking at the cars there were several nice Talbots including a great looking Special. Like an Imp on steroids.

There was also the Talbot 105 B1 Airline that has been featured in the mags - sort of showing off - arriving late and parking in the middle.

Looked great in the sunshine but I still preferred TAS - as did several others I was amused to find. There is something about the rear that is odd on the Airline - not that TAS is a beauty from the back - but it seems to work better. Talking to the famous Foppe he said the reason there are more convertible vintage cars left than coupes was because the buyers of convertibles usually had a garage to keep them in. The herd top cars were left outside so rotted away. Interesting view.

Anyway - home again after staying longer and chatting to more people than I thought I would. But what next ? Let's stay period I thought. So out came the Imp for the short run to Stutton.

It needs a clean too though - quite dusty in this light.
