Coming and Going x2

So first thing (8:30 in fact) it was time to wash Mr-E. I also put another layer of polish and wax on the roof.

It seems to be bringing some of the shine back.

Next I stuck down the Alpine window rubbers and left them to set.

The wedges seemed to do the trick. Then I cleared the matting from the car port as the heat built again - and its only the end of April. After lunch we tried to move the trailer. Nope. In fact it took us about an hour to get it out and reverse (what a shit show that was) into the space next to the wood store.

Next on the agenda was swapping the Imp back into the garage so the Alpine goes back into the bubble. It seemed churlish not to take the Imp for a run so I went for petrol and back. Then moved the Alpine out to snap them together.

Next a rather stunning Austin Healey 3000 turned up for our trip to the ECR evening.

We went in convoy - the Alpine not that happy at 30 mph in the heat. Lots of the usual there but a good turn out and chats to fellow sufferers of the old car affliction.

All in all a good night after a productive day.

Monthly miles wise - the 308 did close to 200 miles - a respectable distance for April. Mind you the Alpine, Talbot and E-Type all did over 100 miles each. Even the Imp did almost 50 and that was in the bubble for half the month. I guess a testiment to the great April weather we had.
