The run up was good - town completely deserted and green lights almost all the way. We got in fine and were parked up next to the Rapier by 8:45.
The rain did arrive around 2:30 but then passed again. The car stayed dry too, if a little warm and airless until we opened the windscreen.
As to the show ? This Facel caught my eye as did the Citroen SM and a lovely looking 1950's Mark Alpine.
We made our escape around 3:00 and although the run back was punctuated with lots of drizzle so it did let me test the wipers. Ah - they are very slow - in fact it's quicker to do it manually. The car seemed to be getting hot as I was though and felt unhappy/lumpy at times with the stop-start run through town.
Once home and unpacked you would hardly know the car had been in the rain at all it was still so clean.
However checking on the Aston after a torrent it was all wet ? Odd - I'd not noticed it leaking before - I'll have to investigate.
