Shine and Show

Alpine washed - well detailed - first thing to get ready for Friston. I seemed to be just hanging around after that so I left early to get petrol.

This could be abroad with the blue skies and heat. So off to the bridge after that - not too bad and the car was going very well - if a little loose on the steering. I was able to potter at 30 ish and at 40+ all was very good.

Glad I got to the show early as it was already busy - although as usual they did not want me to park where I was booked to - however I just moved when they were not looking.

Here we are parked up before the rush (crush).

I guess the most interesting car there was this very tatty 1955 Sunbeam Talbot 90.

The chap seemed to be using as his rolling office too.

It screamed 'Patina' but was worth saving and preserving - and keep it in that order. Not sure what it would take to get to (safely) on the road though.

I stayed to the end to avoid the bridge traffic and I'm sure it just got hotter. The car went well again on the way back (with the usual caveats) but we were home again by 7:30 - a bit hot and bothered, very dusty but fine.
