AM MK2 off early to Ipswich (after faffing about choosing a car) and parked on the street. I'd known about the tractor protest and the A14 had a few passing me going the other way so I was fine. Although the stability seemed a bit off - a bit wandering so I'd better check the tyre pressures this week. I must have been distracted as I walked back to the car I could see this - from a long way off too.
Yes I'd left the lights on (again). It was OK though as it was only for 30 mins and they do dim a bit anyway.
Then PM SAAB to the Heath for a quick drop off. A few more tractors on the road too. Busy as ever but I squeezed in.
Back home I got a bit more info on the Alpine. It was probably built week ending Friday 18th Sept 1959. So a few months older than I thought. The club consensus was not to worry about it though after all these years.
Checking the photos I got with the car I spotted an aerial in a position I never had one and the fact that it had painted not chrome headlight finishers - oh and steel (vs my wire) wheels. So it was either done up for sale or was not the car in the pics ...
