The day started at 8:00 trying to jump start our neiboughs car. I had heard it only just start yesterday morning but today it was dead.
It was only a small Peugeot diesel but the jump pack would not connect - so we did it the old way with the jump leads I still had in the boot.
Then a run to the coast for lunch trying to avoid the 'Route Barree' signs that seemed to follow us and finding several roads closed too - as the rain came and went.
Then scouting for DIY parts I spotted a VW Sirocco I'd seen before in the car park. We found what we needed but need to measure first - so home the long way round again. Another closed road.
NB: It turns out the jump pack could not detect enough power in the car battery and I needed to use the boost button (keep down for three seconds to activate) to get it to work.
