Not really Progress

Put the Imp luggage rack back on for Saturday - I'm getting quicker at it too.

Then thought I'd look at the E-type wiring. Umm - not easy that one.

I did find the fuse had blown - and I also found a bare wire that was live in there so taped that up, but did not get the light to work. I then noticed that the wire I soldered on to it was missing.

It probably came off when Abbotts were looking for the squeak. I'll have to investigate more. Looking at the picture I took as I wrote this I wonder if the bare wire goes into the round connector - it's the right shape.

The washer motor still whirrs away but does not work any more - so I'll just try to replace that.

Then Seven to the RGEA meeting in the late sunshine. Failed to start first turn of the key this time - but fine after that. I suspect a loose connection as it whet 'click'

It also failed first turn when moving the car.

I knew it was going to be dark on the run back though so a good test of lights etc. Started first turn thankfully too.

What I had not accounted for was a wet seat as we left about 9:30 in the dark and the heavy dew had fallen. Also a very bumpy and busy A14 with lorries up my backside - so quite a hairy ride home.
