Cleaning it up

I started by looking for the loose bolt to tighten the steering column - it appears to be a felt bush that needs replacing. SO it's on order.

Next was the cleaning and the E-Type really was in a muddy mess when I looked closely underneith.

I even took the rear wheels off to get under the arches - realising I did not know how to jack the car up ... Anyway four very black buckets of water later the under side was cleaner and I started on the top.

It came up good though with a layer of polish but no wax.

Whilst I'd been cleaning it I had the Alpine parked in the garage. 

It looked too inviting to ignore (if a little dirty) so we went for a run in the cold later on.
