Here is the key to getting off first (well third) and through a deserted customs - all in 5 mins. 

Oddly even though we were in Portsmouth (OK still in the hold) the Sat-nav told us we had almost 800 miles to go.

Run back home punctuated by a drop off at RHS Hyde Hall.

Home again in the drizzle - but got unpacked in the dry.
