Not quite a wasted day

So cleaned lots of Alpine bits in the morning - and sprayed a few fittings and the new windows.

Then in the afternoon I went to see work on the Alpine - via the allotment to a. drop off the chairs ...

... and pick up six bags of compost.

Not a lot of progress on the Alpine all told. I'd forgotten some tools and the nuts holding the seatbelts on looked likely to fall into the void. The battery also needed more work to connect it but at least I was able to route the cable correctly and cut out the work part. Why we did not have more problems I don't know.

In the end I just fitted the seat and went to buy parts.

Not much to show for 1 1/2 hours working though.

During all this activity I had - I arranged the Ferrari to go in, in about a month, said fit the tyres to the Talbot, confirmed the Caterham ownership has changed and booked the electrician to fix the E-type immobiliser. I also spotted three vintage cars on the road - a grey Riley, a Green Alvis and another Alvis I think looking very like the Talbot. I found out later they had all been at the Fox at Newbourne.

Home again I played with the electrical fittings I had bought (which did not fit the battery) before finally topping up the MK7 coolant.

First time I've had to do that so we'll have to make a note and see if I need to do it more frequently.
