Gong Back in Time

SAAB as utility transport to Layer Marney Tower in Essex (via campsite) under threatening skies. The Tower dates from 1520 - so a long way back in time. However our eyes were drawn to this old Routemaster Bus in the car park.

We remember these from our 'London Life' many years ago. Hopping on and off the open back platform. Pre-Health and Safety nonsense.

Then climbing the tower I spotted the SAAB far below. Need to improve my parking.

Finally off to Mersea Island for a walk on the coast and memories came back of going there to the Ginetta factory [since demolished]. That seemed a long time ago too.

Drive it Day - April 2011 in fact - when I last went to look for the factory. Then in May the Ginnetta  got swapped for the V8 Aston.
