SAAB to town then Golf to Harkstead.
The rest of the fleet won't turn a wheel in February so I did push a few backwards and forwards inside their bubbles.

Clean Me
Back from Leamington Spar following lots of very dirty cars. This time of year is no good for shiny paintwork.
So it was no surprise that after another 150 miles the SAAB is a but dirty too.

Did we really do that ?
Started the day looking at old pictures - like this one from spring 1981. The MGB engine out on a hoist on the drive and I am looking a bit oily.
Pottered around the midlands, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Warwick Uni.
Parked at our old shared house where I changed the cylinder head gasket on the Austin 1300 - I doubt they would like me doing that now.
The Uni was a bit odd - a lot has changed and most of what we remembered has been re-developed.
The car park where we left an old Triumph Herald for 2 years was still there though - but even that is about to be knocked down to.

Midland bound - against advice
SAAB 150 miles to Leamington Spa.
Three degrees and warnings not to travel on the radio when I left so took a survival kit. I passed three gritting lorries in action too, getting sprayed in the process.
Good run up even if I did get a bit lost at the end, but oddly it was not even frosty up there. I was first to arrive so I parked in the drive - just.
