Aero utility run

Then lift in a non-identified modern.

Playing the Alphabet Game

First G2R - putting the sails on the boat - Mk7 ride.

The after lunchtime E2R - more jobs and a run out for the Jaguar. Lolloping down the road purring into the marina.

Then as I had forgotten something - C2R - running the Caterham back down there. Went well and even without the side screens was warm enough. Very warm late March.

I could have done A x 2 and F as well - but decided I'd had enough playing. No 'B' on the team ?

Playing at home

No runs just pottering.

Tuesday, 28 March 2017

Hot Seven

Ran Caterham into town - the weather got hot and so did I ... and the car but behaved well. Almost 150 miles on the tank and still going strong.

Bumped the front wheel parking and then imagined it was bent/flat/juddering.

No evidence and no sign of anything.

Now the set

Almost the set.

Aston out in the everlasting sun.

Then Aero down to the boat with a load. Looking good in the sunshine.

Sunday, 26 March 2017

E's Time

E-types turn early on as the sun kept shining. Off to the bottle bank.

Road still blocked though.

Then Aero for a family run.

Saturday, 25 March 2017

Looking like California

Alpine out to check some of the run and photograph it on the prom. Shot into the sun it looked washed out like a picture from 1970s America.

Then a run in the Caterham, backwards and forwards as the road is still blocked. Fits into the drive at Pond cottage easily.

Finished off with getting the Ferrari out - got followed for a while by a chap in a smart red 458, but he did not want to play.

Someone has the energy

Morning chopping wood - I must learn how to reverse the trailer.

Then worked on Alpine route again forgetting the village is cut off.

Then an early afternoon ride in the Mk7 shopping.

Looked at the cold but sunny late in the afternoon and decided against a run.

Oli had other ideas so he came round and he took the Caterham out. Chilly and a bit frightening being the passenger.

Beginning to think I should call it a Seven.

That's the car - whereas the company is Caterham. Would I call the Alpine a Rootes - no but I call the Ferrari a Ferrari.

Aero Run

Off to Alpine meeting but weather poor so took the SAAB.

Not much of note on the way either.

Interesting how old the team are though.

Tuesday, 21 March 2017

Mapping it out

Ran through some of the Alpine run in the SAAB though.

Then followed it up with a run in the Mk7 to check some of it.

Monday, 20 March 2017

Dull Day

Monday just went missing.

Aero run for jobs I think but not much else.

Sunday, 19 March 2017

Mk7 back

Just the run up the roads out back East.

Saturday, 18 March 2017

Military Might in the East

Mk7 to London to look at houses with James. 20 mph and speed humps everywhere.

Spotted these two in a driveway waiting for the urban zombie apocalypse. Not sure if they ran.

Friday, 17 March 2017

Two back

Collected the Mk2 as it had got through the MOT and dropped off the Alpine.

That passed fine and I came home via the boat and shops. Still smells of petrol and does not like slow traffic. Perhaps it needs a good electrical update - HT leads must be 10 years old if not 15.

Cleaning up 2.0

Aero got a long overdue wash - black muddy bucket afterwards (and I missed a bit).

Collected Jeremy from the station in the evening in it, looking like a mini-cab.

Wednesday, 15 March 2017

Cleaning up again

Gave the Aston a good scrub. Got off all the mud etc.

Must make up a better 'nappy'.

Noticed a ladybird on the window that I photographed for a macro shot.

Then went round the block - it was still there when I came back - it clung on all the way.

Then took the Caterham out of the bubble and drove off with out disconnecting the charger - blew the electrics in the house luckily not the car.

Looked good in the sunshine though.

Tuesday, 14 March 2017

Jaguar Tuesday

E-Type out for the shopping run.

Looked great and chatted to a chap in the car park that was admiring it.

Popped it back into the garage.

Monday, 13 March 2017

Economical Aston

Started with the Ferrari. Out of the bubble and tidied that away.

Nice run in the sun too.

The decided to test the Aston. It cam out completely empty of petrol but then it got fuller the more miles I did.

Sunday, 12 March 2017

Back South

Another dull run back - not much of interest on the roads.

Mk7 almost 500 miles on the tank.

Saturday, 11 March 2017

Packed Garage

Looking at Steve's garage / barns.

I just want to tidy them up.

Run in the XJS to look at more cars at auction - was tempted by this SAAB.

But sense got the better of me.

Brakes on the XJS went odd on the way back - added to Steve's list to fix.

Friday, 10 March 2017

North in the Mk7

Easy run up to Yorkshire in the Golf - although A14 starting the 'improvements' until 2020.

Sure to get dirty on the run. Mind you it's already filthy.

Thursday, 9 March 2017

Bad and worse

First the bad news - Golf Mk2 failed the MOT - leaking break cylinder, gaiter and er ... emissions - I suspected something wrong with the brakes though so fine.

Looked so nice this morning too.

Aero lugging again to the other Swede. Polished all day. It's there in the background.

After packing everything away the sun was still out so I rewarded myself with a run in the Aston. Looking menacing on the drive - if a bit dirty.

However - it had about 1/2 a tank when I parked it up and on the warning light 30 mins later. I did park on the slope but ...

One for the service - but I suspect the start of electrical gremlins through lack of use.

Rain - so Jobs

Planning Alpine Run and arranging the E-Type photo-shoot.

Mk2 into town - stuttering rev counter again that died on the way home.

Than loaded up Aero for another lugging job - ladders etc. to boat tomorrow.

Tuesday, 7 March 2017

A to F and E to B (&Q)

Went on a route finder for the Alpine run in the summer. Took the Alpine as the weather was good.

Ipswich to Felixstowe - route was only 30 miles (ish) but took 1 1/2 hours through small roads.

Then decided to exhume the e-type for the summer. Out for a run then dismantled the bubble and put it away.

Final Aero run to help Oli with his table. Nice to do some real engineering. Welding, grinding and drilling metal.

Monday, 6 March 2017

Forgetfull Ferrari

Realised that I'd forgotten to get the Ferrari taxed again... and drove it last month.

Other than that Aero to the boat again for jobs. Needs a clean inside again now.

Sunday, 5 March 2017

Collecting wood

Off with the SAAB in the rain to collect a trailer load of wood. Hard going on the poor car.

Saturday, 4 March 2017

Two Swedes

SAAB pressed into service after a quick Mk7 run.

Down to the marina - running with ladders.

Friday, 3 March 2017

Back to Grey days

Aero jobs I the rain again. Will be warmer soon.

Thursday, 2 March 2017

Mr E back again

Clean MOT and the cooling leak was a loose hose.

Looked great in the sunshine too.

Wednesday, 1 March 2017

Alpine out between the showers

Out into the grey day - short run into town and back - added a run to clear the cobwebs though.

Started well after the blow heater treatment.

Still not spring - but getting there.
