Run out in Aston - took it and not the Caterham just in case it rained - small spit as I started confirmed the choice. Then afternoon downpour. 

Forgot it had no petrol though so tense drive even though it said 35 miles to go - went 50 most of the way to conserve fuel. Then I realised I had no money when I got to the petrol station with 17 miles to go !

Still looks menacingly special at rest in the car park. 

First arrival in Octane saying classic car market has peaked. 

Three out of captivity

Aero working as usual - rear springs seem a but weak though when fully loaded. 

Then 308 for a tour round the block. 

Finally Carerham into town shopping. 

Tuesday oddities

Etype run to paint shop for quote. 

Found a series of interesting card on the tour - Jenson CV8 in bits and a sad Aston Virage. 

Run out in Caterham as the rain started so had to switch to Aero. 

Final run in G7. 

Less Summer

More Autumn - jobs in the Sweedish load lugger that was all. 

Sunday sitting down (again)

Watching the drizzle - then rain - all day and into the evening. 

Saturday Golfing

Just MK7 looking at houses. 

Aero and G7

Dump in Aero and north Suffolk - off road in the pouring road through flooded roads.

Sailing day then dash back Thursday as the weather was closing in. 

Saw a sign I thought I had in Brightlingsea. 

Etype woes

Ok not that simple - what the pictures don't show you is that it is impossible to get to the speedo drive from below - without taking off the exhaust. 

Tapped it a few times though and it did not sound loose. 

Perhaps it's inside the exhaust ?

Pottering again

Aero to bottle bank - then passenger in MK2 for petrol. 

Wondering if Etype rattle is really the speedo drive - could it be that simple ? And where is it - pictures seem confused. 

Sunday sitting down

Ipswich Wheels - so spent 8 hours sitting by the car in the sun.

Noticed how bad the paint work has got on the bonnet.

A Nissan

New cars on the drive - in fact two turned up

Good timing

Aero at lunchtime as it looked like rain - and did just for the five mins I drove. 

Followed up with Alpine into town and then Aston to get supper. Still surprises with the power. 

A 2 D

AERO to Dump. 

Basically that's all even though it was a sunny evening. 

Last min run

E-type out and round the block after the rain had cleared. 

Dash always looks iconic. 

Tuesday pottering

Does driving and parking in town count as a drive ?

Not really for the AERO workhorse.

That's the trip the Germany in the Aero done. Will be catching up the Golf soon on mileage.

Audi Land

Lots of fast Audi's here.

220k on the motorway is fast enough though. 

10 feet

Moved car about that on the drive. 

Euro Dash

400+ miles in Aero - Suffolk to Germany. Long haul in the sun. 

Security at EuroTunnel very obvious - plus a 2+ hour delay. 

12 hour run is a bit hard going though - even in the SAAB seats. 

With tunnel delays and traffic problems it's a slog. 

Final run in Germany at 80-90 and I was being overtaken all the time. Great road though. 

Golf run.

Golf run - going well. 

Swapped steering lock to Caterham. 

Aero Workhorse

Run to Dump to earn it's keep. 

Then gave the Aero a full clean inside - topped up oil (which as low) checked tyres (ok) and washer fluid for dash to Germany. 

Jobs in cars

Alpine and then Caterham both got a run out in the sun. 

G2R

Sailing in the sun - until it rained a little. 

Odd dashboard. 

Drizzzz

Just Golf mk7 in the drizzle. 

Alternative to USA

Run to Suffolk pub in Alpine in blistering sun. 

Planned trip to air base and car show was cancelled - impacted by terror alerts. 

Golfing

Golf run for 60 miles and ran very well. 

Earlier in the day Caterham into town and  heat got to it - coming back home it went down as speed got up. I checked radiator and water was ok. As the book said it needs more cooling. 

Norfolk bound

Fought traffic - but found great driving roads in (190 miles) some places. 80 degrees and traffic jambs but car survived better than I did. Still got rattle and it's getting worse. 

Still we saw this corvette on the way and he liked the e-type too. 

Washing day

Aston washed and polished. 

E-type polished. 

Both with the dodojuce which works very well. Better than autoglym.
