Well MOT for the Alpine.

Monday Morning Motoring

Is mainly SAAB - due to storms.

Drizzel

Top coat polishing - on the e-type to an inch of it's life -

and painting chips in red and a well needed vacuum in the 308. But that's all.

A couple more pics up in the garage too.

But no ! a dash to fill the e-type with petrol and back between the darkness.

Polishing

Well moving cards around and washed and polished the E-type and washed the 308 then went for a run in it as the clouds darkened.

Alpine MOT next week - so topped up the petrol.

Anyway - the cars passed on the drive as I swapped them round...

Which goes faster ?

Well if we look at depreciation it's obvious !

Stately Home

Well the Alpine on the Lawn.

A little shower driving home but nothing tooooo bad.

Italian Dash

250 miles in the 308. Car show and M25. Quite noisy actually.


Odd 1968 Toyota Corona I think - whatever it was the start of the end of British car manufacturing.

Saw this small but interesting trailer. Seen them before - parts of cars used as trailers, but not as caravans...

Soundtrack to the Summer

Getting Car ready for Cranleigh car show tomorrow. Well a blast and a fill up. May even clean the windows. 250 miles there and back I'd guess.

Blue SAAB again

Not much other than showers and the radio.

But Rain and parking at the station convinced me to keep the e-type in the garage.

Trees and Sun

Alpine to Station - cheer up the commute. Always feels odd driving it in a suit.

Popping out

In a modern "popping out" works well. Harder when you have to crank it over to get going and it's hot and it's not got cup holders.

Alpine Action

Quick commute in the Alpine as the sun shone again. Oh Summer warmth and an open top car.

Suffolk Dash

Nipped to Clare by e-type in the sun. British countryside and a classic British sports car.

It does get better - just !

Summer is ending I saw as the setting sun at seven glinted off the bonnet on the e-type tonight on the run home.
