SAAB getting very grubby. Not sure when it will be cleaned again. No classic action as the salt is still on the roads.

Minus 11

Minus 11 did not feel as cold as I expected. Roads had been cleared too - so most of the drive in was fine. SAAB doing well this winter.

London Snow

Drove into London first thing. A bit slow on A12 but small roads in the capital were bad. Could not get the SAAB up the hill.

Ice skating in a 308.

Might have been mad - picking up the Ferrari with heavy snow forecast and ice on the roads. But it wanted to come home for Christmas. Bad run back through lots of black ice - mid engine and no weight on front wheels did not make it easy.

Nice collection in Grimaldi's though.

Focus windscreen replaced and then put up the new bubble in a box and parked up the 308.

Modern cars. Electrical problems abound. And they want us all to drive fully electric cars.

Mr E at the Est-schleife

Got e-type in the wooden garage for the winter bubble. Next weekend. Starting the cars after 2 hours with the blow heater. Whizzed around the block which is the same distance as the Nordschleife well just over 13 miles vs 12.9 miles.

308 is still 2 weeks away from the service and there is sleet expected this week.

Was privileged to get a ride in a Ferrari 275 GTB.

The sound was more mechanical than I expected. The car had that well used patina of someone that likes to drive and not polish and has the car to use, not just as an investment.

At the NEC for Classic car show. 200 stands to buy models and 3 for old parts.

300 miles only. Not much petrol in France - queues on the forecourts.

Queues for the ferry too.

Ferrari not an easy car to jack up either - front almost toutches the floor when you jack it up...

Drove E-Type back in the gloom. 6:15 getting dark. Nice view of white lights on dash.

Four Up

Quick blast in 308 last of the good sunny days, although it did not want to start so resorted to the blow heater.

Saw lots of classics - rarest of all was a AC Trident I think. Also TVR Tuscan, MG's and Vauxall VX220.

Weekend included all 4 - alpine twice, 308, e-type and even started the G4.

220 swift miles in the SAAB up the ever lovely A14 and M1. It's a bit warmer than the last time I was here (15th Dec last year) just before the bad snow.

OK so using the SAAB rear spoiler as a coffee tray works a treat - until you open the boot...

Alpine would not start - Probably dirty plugs and not being started for a week or so - and getting colder. Time for the fan heater.

Which worked a treat - so gave it a short blast in the rain.

Parked Focus on the slab - fits well.

Noah's bulding a v8 in the car park. Rained again at 4:00 as I was thinking of getting Mr. E out.

And the government are thinking of giving people cash to buy electric cars. TCO. Not just filling up.
